H2O all day, on the water.

Morning coffee with the sea at your feet. A long lunch with friends. A dinner that drifts into the evening, and a last drink over the dark water. H2O was built for the whole of a day, which is why it became the table the island itself comes to share. It stands right on the water, where the name comes from: a deck reaching off the centre of Kos Town into the open Aegean, close enough to hear.

Mornings start with coffee and the breakfast buffet, or a plate from the menu. At midday the mood decides: ouzo and a spread of seafood, a generous burger, or whatever the chef has brought back from the market that week. And in the slow hour after work, something sweet for your coffee. Chocolate in winter, ice cream once the heat sets in.

After dark, the place changes key. Low light, low music, the moon on the water. The room settles into something made for long dinners. Bring the person you love, or the family, or the whole table of friends; whatever the occasion, the menu and the cellar are ready for it. And when the plates are cleared and you’re in no hurry to leave, the bar keeps its light on, a glass of aged whiskey waiting.

Greek Breakfast

Loaves in every grain, from multigrain and rye to baguette, rusks and crackers, alongside seasonal fruit, hand-made Greek pies, and a board of Greek cheeses led by the island’s own krasotyri. Spoon-sweet cherry tomato from Kos, raw Dodecanese honey, eggs cooked your way, nuts, jams from our own kitchen, yogurt and cold-pressed juice. It’s the buffet we set out every morning for our guests, and the reason Kos Aktis has held the national «Greek Breakfast» certification since 2012.

You take it slowly, right at the water’s edge, the waves keeping time and the first gulls crossing the sky. In summer, sit outside in the sun with the breeze off the sea on your face. In winter, move behind the glass and watch the morning play across the clouds. The weather changes; the verdict doesn’t. There’s no better way to start a day on Kos.
